It's Official!

Hello Everyone!

I got the official world today from the doctor: I am "officially" clear from cancer... at least until December 23rd! The CT report looks great! I am waiting on one more radiology report on my chest xray, but I have a feeling that is going to be fine, so... other than that, we are official! Yay!

Thought You Might Enjoy!

Hello Everyone!!!

Well, it's been a little busy around our house! So I apologize for my slacker-blogger behavior, but thought I would share some Christian Pics and a few updates!

First of all, Christian's on a new medication, and -- for the most part -- it seem to work pretty well. However, sometimes I still get this: and this was on a double dose of Adderall. What can I say? His hyperactivity is -- on occasion -- no match for pharmaceuticals. But I think we all should -- live on the "wild side," and break dance in the middle of the street. Yah, that's a great idea.

Legal disclaimer: Please, please don't try this at home!

Also: Christian & Church update

When we first started going to church, Christian was not happy about it. Now, just a few months later, he's gotten used to the idea, and has -- in fact, become a missionary. Well, sort of. But seriously, two months ago it was IMPOSSIBLE to get him to go into class without a serious melt-down: now it's hard to get him to leave when it's time to go!!!

Latest "Life Updates!"
  • Sunday I received my calling and was set apart as a teacher in our ward! I will be teaching the Gospel Principles class: a very unique calling for a brand new convert. The good news is: I'm going to learn a TON. The bad news is: most of the people I'll be teaching have more knowledge about the gospel than I do... It's like being called to teach a french class to people that have spoken french longer than you have. It's going to be awesome!
  • I switched Christian's meds, and he does -- overall -- seem to be doing better, although sometimes I question this!!!
  • I am in the middle of finals week so school is crazy, cross your fingers for me, then I'm going to take a 2 week break from my classes, because....
  • While we (my doctor and I) were looking for Cancer, we discovered Mono, although I will find out in the next week or so if I'm 100% 'out of the woods,' as far as the cancer is concerned... so I'm a little bit nervous about that, but I have a pretty good feeling overall about it...but on the downside: having Mono STINKS! But hey: it's NOT cancer, so YAY FOR MONO! I'm exhausted and amotivational 99% of the time, it's rough!!! So in order to give my body some time to recover I'm taking a two week vacation from school, then I go back for two weeks, then I have Christmas break for two weeks... so overall I'm just taking it easy over the next few weeks!
  • Work @ the hospital is CRAZY! Crazy, I tell ya! I'm coming up on my 6 month eval, so I'm really trying to step it up a notch and earn a decent eval. I am currently preparing to get my ACLS certification, by the way!

So, that's it for now! :) Will update more later, I promise! :)

Love Always,
Rachele
